Description
Native to the Appalachian Mountains in the Eastern U.S., white wood aster is found in partly shaded, dry woods. It blooms in late summer/early fall. We like that it fills in the open spaces left by our spring wildflowers. It's also a good plant for attracting butterflies and other pollinators.
White wood aster was previously classified as Aster divaricatus but recently changed to Eurybia divaricata. 'Eastern Star' is a tad shorter than the straight species.
Arrived intact in 4" X 4" pots, AMAZINGLY packed and a wee bit dry (expected). Bottom watered and kept warm. Potted up these very healthy plants into local soil and they're already showing new growth in less than a week! Green Canvas Farms has definitely gained a fan as well as a customer!!!
A very nice and healthy plant! Thanks!
