Description
Pulsatilla vulgaris is native to the meadows of continental Europe and the British Isles. The foliage is soft and fuzzy - absolutely stunning when backlit by the sun. The bright purple flowers give way to tufts of seed heads, which are equally ornamental. Flowers emerge later than P. patens.
Also known as Easter flower, this plant blooms in the early spring. Some European countries even use the juice of the petals to make a dye for Easter eggs! We'll have to test that one out...
Healthy plants and well-packaged.
Despite USPS playing ping pong around the county with this package, it has finally arrived to my great relief. It appears in very good shape; very dry as might be expected but reviving rapidly with its' feet in warm water. Clearly the excellent packaging by the seller saved it, and I shall keep an eye on the sellers' store with complete confidence in their product. A+++++
The plants arrived quickly and were nicely packaged. One flowered within a week of planting it. Thank you.
