Description
Our acanthus collection keeps growing. We hope you find one that's just right for your garden. Acanthus spinosus is very similar to A. hungaricus except that its leaves are more edgy and have spiny margins. The overall effect is a bit more harsh, sort of like a thistle. However, the flower spikes have that classic acanthus appearance.
That combo of the deeply veined purple bracts and the papilionaceous white blossoms never gets tiring. We'd love to see more acanthus love here in America.
