Amsonia hubrichtii

Threadleaf bluestar is an herbaceous perennial native to the Ouachita Mountains. Even if you don't live in these mountains, this bluestar is a great choice for a native garden as it supports numerous early-season pollinators. This includes native bees, hummingbirds, butterflies, and moths.

We love this plant for its feathery light habit, soft blue flowers, and striking yellow gold fall color. It makes for a good mid-height plant in a mixed border and is equally stunning planted en masse.
