Artemisia princeps

We grow this artemisia species to make yomogi mochi, which is the traditional Japanese way to enjoy this plant. The sticky treat is beautifully green and aromatic. It's a flavor that most Westerners have not experienced, and so it makes for a unique plant in the kitchen garden. It's also medicinal.

The plant itself is very easy to grow. Its weedy and wild nature makes it quite aggressive, so take that into consideration when planting. We've switched to container growing to control the spread.
