Description

White false indigo is native to prairies and open woodlands of Southeastern U.S. Similar to many Baptisia species, the white false indigo has an upright to mounding habit up to 5 ft. tall. It has a beautiful display of creamy white flowers in spring. It's also a host plant for a variety of butterflies!

Like many Baptisias, it can take a couple years for the roots to become established. Patience is a must with native indigos, but the end result is well worth the wait.
