American beautyberry has become a popular shrub to utilize in the landscape. It is native to much of Eastern North America. The flowers may not be showy, but the purple berries in autumn do not disappoint! We prefer to grow this from cuttings instead of from seed to ensure no cross pollination with the rampant Asian species, Dichotoma.
Oh yeah, birds love the berries. We can eat them too! They are like nature's sprinkles, and Ashlyn likes to use them as such in the kitchen.
