Carex scaposa

Pink fairy sedge has all the understated elegance of a sedge but with an additional flair of showy pink flowers. The flowers ascend through the verdant foliage like magical wands - perhaps fitting for a fae?

The lanceolate, aspidistra-esque foliage adds lushness to the garden bed. It likes part shade and moisture. Tuck it in amongst acanthus, ferns, and hostas for a tapestry of texture.
