If horsetails look like primitive plants, it's because they are! Like ferns, horsetails are non-flowering, seedless plants which reproduce by spores. Horsetails evoke both an ancient allure as well as a modern architectural vibe in the landscape.
They tolerate a wide range of growing conditions and will grow in up to 4" of standing water. We appreciate how easy they are to grow, but because of this they can be aggressive. Take care with site selection.
