Description
Creeping baby's breath is a perennial native to the mountains of central and southern Europe. It is actually an alpine plant. In mild winters, it may stay evergreen.
The plant grows outwards like a groundcover and will flower profusely in the summer. So airy and dense are the flowers that they create a cloudy, hazy effect ("baby's breath" makes a lot of sense, too!) Rosea is the pink-flowered cultivar.
This is a great plant for water-wise and rocky sites.
