Description
Fish mint is a spreading groundcover. It can handle moist to dry conditions once established. The cultivar 'Chameleon' is a variegated form with leaf colors ranging from green to yellow to red.
The leaves and roots are used in several Asian cuisines (e.g. Vietnam, China, Korea, India). The aroma is a bit fishy with a hint of citrus. It is also thought to have medicinal properties.
It can be an aggressive spreader and may be considered invasive in certain areas. We keep ours in pots.
