Fish mint is a spreading groundcover. It can be an aggressive spreader in the right conditions and may be considered invasive in certain areas. It can handle moist to dry conditions once established. The cultivar Chameleon is a variegated form with leaf colors from green, yellow, to red. It will have small white flowers but usually valued for it's foliage. The leaves are used in Asian cuisines as a leafy vegetable and for tea. It is also thought to have medicinal properties.
