Description

False Solomon's seal is native to moist rich woodlands in much of the U.S. Its common name is derived from its similarities to native Solomon's seal, Polygonatum biflorum. You can tell the two apart by observing the flowers. Solomon's seal has flowers all along the underside of the stem. False Solomon's seal has flowers only at the end of the stem.

False Solomon's seal is considered a wild edible and medicinal plant.
