Mimosa pudica

Delight in the responsive movement of the sensitive plant! Kids and adults alike experience a shock of wonderment when they touch this plant and find that it folds and collapses under their fingers. Even a strong breath will cause this wild response.

It's native to tropical regions of Central & South America. It is weedy in such climates, so we don't recommend planting it outside. But as a houseplant or summer container plant, it is perfect.

A short-lived perennial. Readily grows from seed.
