Palmer's penstemon is a western U.S. native, inhabiting rocky mountain and grassland ecosystems. Well-draining soil and minimal watering is the key to success in growing this showy penstemon. Out of the many penstemon species, Palmer's is beloved for its showy, fragrant flowers. The puffy pale pink blooms attract both pollinators and people with its luscious sweet scent. Recognized by large numbers of native bees.
Like many penstemons it performs as a short-lived perennial that usually reseeds.
