Jonkheer Van Tets is an excellent modern cultivar of the European red currant, Ribes rubrum. An introduction from Holland, JVT produces loads of fruit that have been highly rated for their flavor and size.

Currants do best in cooler climates. They prefer morning sun, afternoon shade, and good air circulation.
