Ribes X 'Captivator'

Captivator gooseberry is a nearly thornless plant with good resistance to white pine blister rust and powdery mildew. It is an American x European hybrid developed in the 1930s. In gooseberry trials, Captivator often makes the top of the list.

Captivator's ripe red fruits are quite large, almost the size of a quarter. The flavor strikes a nice balance between tart and sweet.
