Sarracenia 'Carolina Yellow Jacket'

'Carolina Yellow Jacket' is a Sarracenia hybrid cultivar introduced by the late David Crump, who spent 26 years working with American pitcher plants. It is a cross between Sarracenia purpurea, S. rosea, and S. flava. It forms a tight clump of chartreuse to yellow pitchers that will turn red as temperatures decrease. It also readily produces fragrant flowers in spring.
