Tricyrtis formosana 'Samurai'

Toad lilies are a favorite here at the farm. They are as stunning as orchids and yet super low maintenance. Even the laziest of gardeners should give them a try! Native to forest edges in Eastern Asia, toad lilies prefer moist rich soil in part shade to full shade.

'Samurai' has pinkish purple speckled flowers and golden-edged green leaves. It is not invasive but will spread out to form lovely dense colonies in the shade garden. We also enjoy them as cut flowers - so beautiful up close!
