Description
Bird's foot violet is a large-flowered viola species native to Eastern North America. The plant itself is fairly diminutive, but it's floral display is quite eye-catching on the forest floor. It blooms throughout the spring and will self-seed in optimum growing conditions.
This is a lovely wildflower for a slope or meadow in a native woodland garden. Good soil drainage is recommended.
