Zingiber mioga

What if you didn't have to live in a tropical climate to grow ginger outdoors?! This hardy Japanese ginger (myoga) fits the bill! It can survive Zone 6 winters - maybe even Zone 5. Our patch has thrived with shade, consistent moisture, and thick layers of mulch.
